Independence entered their tilt with Holly Springs on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Independence's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Holly Springs, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 18-3 victory against Hickory Flat on the 12th. Holly Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
