Basketball Recap: Brannon Bussey Key Part of Team Effort in Hawks Win

There's no place like home for Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Jordan Red Jackets on Tuesday as they made off with a 72-47 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-42 back in November.

Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brannon Bussey led the charge by dropping a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Bussey's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Brody Leonard was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to six steals and five boards.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Jordan, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Central will head out to square off against Marion County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jordan, they will be playing at home against Spencer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Jackets will need to watch out since the Greenwave have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
