Baseball Recap: Academy for College and Career Exploration Comes Up Short

Academy for College and Career Exploration was the 12-2 winner over Dunbar when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Academy for College and Career Exploration fell 17-13 to Dunbar on Thursday. Academy for College and Career Exploration has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Academy for College and Career Exploration got a massive performance out of Kennard Swinton, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Aiden Cobb was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Academy for College and Career Exploration's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Dunbar, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Academy for College and Career Exploration and Dunbar will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time Academy for College and Career Exploration sees the field they'll take on Digital Harbor on the 23rd. As for Dunbar, their break will end when they face Coppin Academy on the 23rd.
