Village Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past St. Thomas More Academy 5-2. It was an even better day for Kwabena Asante as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Greenfield kept a clean sheet against Wayne Country Day last Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chargers. Given Greenfield's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Wayne Country Day are ranked 285th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Village Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five contests. As for Greenfield, their record now sits at 16-5.
