Softball Recap: Lanesville Comes Up Short

Perry Central hit Lanesville with a seven-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Commodores, falling 11-1. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Commodores apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Lanesville's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-12. As for Perry Central, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lanesville will venture away from home to challenge Scottsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Perry Central, they will challenge Heritage Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
