Volleyball Recap: Waldron Takes a Loss

Waldron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Connersville Spartans. If the Mohawks were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-13.

Ashlyn Ramsey paced Waldron's offense, picking up eight kills. Ramsey got some help from Lauren Strehle and her 15 assists.

Leading Connersville to victory were Maddie Harrison and Maggie Spurlock. Harrison had ten digs and five aces, while Spurlock had eight digs and one assist. That's the most digs Harrison has posted since back in September. Hailey Pearson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Waldron's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Connersville, they moved to 10-15 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Waldron has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Oldenburg Academy on the 7th. As for Connersville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Rushville on the 7th.
