Basketball Game Preview: Woodford County Yellowjackets vs. Blazer Tomcats

The Woodford County Yellowjackets will venture away from home to face off against the Blazer Tomcats at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Sunday, Woodford County came up short against Male and fell 55-47.

Meanwhile, Blazer had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They managed a 66-60 victory over the Knights. The 66-point effort marked the Tomcats' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Blazer now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Woodford County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Woodford County lost to Blazer on the road by a decisive 68-49 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2020. Thankfully for Woodford County, Colin Porter (who went 9 of 15 en route to 27 points and six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
