Softball Game Preview: Lone Tree Lions vs. Hillcrest Academy Ravens

Lone Tree has gone 7-1 against Hillcrest Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Ravens at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lone Tree managed to slip by Columbus the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions lost 8-2 to the Wildcats on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against H-L-V, falling 13-5.

Lone Tree now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Hillcrest Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Lone Tree skirted past Hillcrest Academy 5-3 in their previous matchup back in June of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
