Soccer Recap: Lugoff-Elgin Comes Up Short

Lugoff-Elgin was the 4-1 winner over Ridge View when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Lugoff-Elgin fell just short of Ridge View by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Lugoff-Elgin fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Ridge View since on Friday.

Lugoff-Elgin's goal came courtesy of Eli Branham, who's now up to four this season.

Lugoff-Elgin dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Ridge View, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4.

Looking ahead, Lugoff-Elgin will host Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lugoff-Elgin is facing Westwood at the right time seeing as Westwood is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Ridge View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Florence at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. West Florence will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Ridge View surely won't give up without a fight.
