Palo Verde dropped down to 3-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were dealt a 58-0 loss at the hands of the Bishop Gorman Gaels. The game marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

As for Bishop Gorman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Considering they have won five contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bishop Gorman got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaina Watson out in front who picked up 245 receiving yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, Watson is now averaging an impressive 105.3 receiving yards per game. Maika Eugenio was another key signal caller, throwing for 350 yards and five TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes.

Palo Verde didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-24 defeat against Centennial on the 10th. As for Bishop Gorman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 48-0 victory against Mojave on the 10th.
