Basketball Game Preview: Cardinal O'Hara Hawks vs. Sacred Heart Academy Sharks

Kyla Hayes was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 50 points and 19 boards. The game was her sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Ny'Ema Blair, who posted five points along with eight assists and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Sacred Heart Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Gators 46-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sharks have posted since February 8, 2024.

Sacred Heart Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. Cardinal O'Hara pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
