Meanwhile, Penn Yan Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-1 to Waterloo. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Tigers since on Thursday.

Newark now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Penn Yan Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
