Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bellaire). They really took it to the Valley Lumberjacks for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-33 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Big Reds as it put an end to their 17-game losing streak.

Alex Padgett had an outrageously good game as he shot 67% from the field on his way to 23 points and seven rebounds. Those 23 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jace Violet, who posted 20 points.

Bellaire was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Bellaire's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 2-17. As for Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Bellaire will square off against Cameron at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Big Reds will be up against the Dragons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.94 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Valley, they will challenge Shadyside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
