Softball Recap: Indio Beats Twentynine Palms for Their Third Straight Win

Indio waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Twentynine Palms Wildcats 12-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-2 on Monday.

Indio got a massive performance out of Audra Higgins, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Higgins also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jaeda Diaz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Indio kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests.

Indio's record is now 13-10. As for Twentynine Palms, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.

Coincidentally, Indio and Twentynine Palms will both be playing Yucca Valley the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Trojans at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, while the Rajahs will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
