Softball Recap: Jesuit Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Jesuit dropped their record down to 25-8 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Sherwood Bowmen, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Crusaders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Sherwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 games by seven runs or more this season.

For Sherwood's part, Presley Sarono-Ramos made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Sarono-Ramos has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

In other batting news, Maisy Schindler was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jordyn Henderson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base.
