Softball Recap: South Sioux City Comes Up Short

After flying high against Burke on Saturday, South Sioux City came back down to earth. The Cardinals lost 14-2 to the O'Neill Eagles on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

South Sioux City's loss dropped their record down to 5-22. As for O'Neill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-11.

South Sioux City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against Mercy on the 2nd. As for O'Neill, they have also already played their next game, a 13-2 victory against Chadron on the 2nd.
