Manhattan Village Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over East Side Community. This was payback for the Silver Hawks, who suffered a 17-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Manhattan Village Academy pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for East Side Community, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Manhattan Village Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-3 victory against Baruch College on the 2nd. As for East Side Community, they will square off against Careers in Television & Film at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
