Softball Preview: Canfield Cardinals vs. Chardon Hilltoppers

The Canfield Cardinals will square off against the Chardon Hilltoppers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canfield knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Chardon likes a good challenge.

Meanwhile, Chardon entered their tilt with South on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Rebels 9-7. With that win, the Hilltoppers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Chardon let Emma Anderson and Gia Sharaba run wild. Anderson scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Sharaba went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most runs Anderson has posted since back in March.
