Football Game Preview: Greene Central Rams vs. Kinston Vikings + How To Watch

The Greene Central Rams will take on the Kinston Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Greene Central is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Tarboro on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rams took a blow against the Vikings, falling 56-16. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-0.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Joshua Cetnar, who threw for 86 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 36 yards.

Meanwhile, Kinston came up short against Ayden - Grifton on Friday and fell 33-21.

The match pitted two dominant wideouts against one another in Tyreek Copper and Nygel Morgan. Morgan had a great game and gained 117 total yards and four touchdowns. Meanwhile, Copper was balling out in the loss, picking up 174 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Greene Central and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Kinston, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Greene Central didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Kinston in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, but they still walked away with a 22-18 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Vikings' Okie Edwards, who picked up 61 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 80 yards and one TD. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Rams to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
