Basketball Game Preview: East Palestine Bulldogs vs. United Golden Eagles

East Palestine hasn't had much luck against United recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The East Palestine Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the United Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. East Palestine will be strutting in after a win while United will be coming in after a defeat.

East Palestine will bounce into Friday's match after beating Wellsville, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. East Palestine skirted past Wellsville 55-53. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, United played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Columbiana 63-36. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Clippers: they've now lost seven in a row.

United's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for East Palestine, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Everything went East Palestine's way against United when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as East Palestine made off with a 49-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Palestine since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
