Basketball Game Preview: Chester Flyers vs. McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars

The Chester Flyers will venture away from home to square off against the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chester is looking for their season's first victory.

Chester came up short against Howard on Tuesday, falling 50-29.

Meanwhile, McCook Central/Montrose lost to Hanson at home by a 56-42 margin on Tuesday. The loss was the Fighting Cougars' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, McCook Central/Montrose fell to 2-1. As for Chester, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-3.

Chester took their win against McCook Central/Montrose in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 74-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chester since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
