Football Recap: Deering Takes a Loss

Deering was the 35-0 winner over Cheverus when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams lost to the Stags at home by a 21-6 margin on Friday.

Deering now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Cheverus, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Deering will challenge South Portland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cheverus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Biddeford at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Stags will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
