Softball Recap: Charlottesville Black Knights vs. Louisa County Lions
Charlottesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 19-2 to the Louisa County Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Black Knights of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.
Charlottesville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sulmy Oliva, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Oliva has hit this season.
Charlottesville's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Louisa County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Charlottesville is set to take on their familiar foe Western Albemarle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Louisa County will face off against rival Goochland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
