Basketball Recap: South Summit Wildcats vs. Morgan Trojans
After a string of six wins, South Summit's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morgan Trojans. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, South Summit still got an impressive performance from Logan Woolstenhulme, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 boards. Woolstenhulme's evening made it 28 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Blake Osguthorpe was another key player, putting up 12 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Morgan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kolton Asay, who went 6 for 10 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bracken Saunders, who posted 20 points.
South Summit's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4. As for Morgan, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
