Basketball Game Preview: Randolph Cardinals vs. Winside Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals challenge the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Randolph's offense hasn't had much luck over their past 17 contests, but Monday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Randolph is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Stuart on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Randolph took a blow against Stuart, falling 65-21. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-9.

Abbey Backer was Randolph's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Brooke Meier held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Winside, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 56-47 victory over Ainsworth on Friday.

Randolph's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Winside, their win bumped their record up to 6-17.

Randolph was dealt a bruising 52-16 loss at the hands of Winside in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Randolph avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
