Preview: Bigfork vs. Anaconda
Anaconda had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. They will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Bigfork at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Anaconda, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Anaconda had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-28 punch to the gut against Salmon. Anaconda were down by 0-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Bigfork had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their game against Manhattan/Manhattan Christian last week 27-14.
Bigfork's win lifted them to 1-0 while Anaconda's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Bigfork can add another positive mark to their record or if Anaconda can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Bigfork's step.
