Eagleville is a perfect 10-0 against Cornersville since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagleville Eagles will host the Cornersville Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Eagleville's favor as the squad sits on 19 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Cornersville has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
Eagleville's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on LaVergne with a sharp 15-0 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Spencer Robbins made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Brody Gleason was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alex Bryant, who scored four runs and stole a base.
Eagleville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Cornersville hadn't done well against Moore County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Cornersville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over Moore County. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Raiders since March 19, 2019.
The win got Cornersville back to even at 1-1. As for Eagleville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Everything went Eagleville's way against Cornersville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Eagleville made off with a 9-3 win. Does Eagleville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cornersville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
