Basketball Recap: Sexton Takes a Loss

Sexton came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 68-41 defeat at the hands of Summit Academy North. The contest marked the Big Reds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The loss snapped Sexton's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 19-6 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points over those games. As for Summit Academy North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

Sexton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summit Academy North, they will challenge Kingsford at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Summit Academy North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 games -- so hopefully Kingsford likes a good challenge.
