            The North Canyon Rattlers will venture away from home to  take on the Carl Hayden Community Falcons  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
On Friday,  everything came up roses for North Canyon against Washington as the  team secured  a  47-7 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Rattlers just coasted through the last quarter.

North Canyon's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Karlos Romandia, who threw for 238 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and   AJ Garcia, who gained 144 total yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave  Romandia a new career-high in  rushing yards (78). A healthy portion of  Romandia's aerial production (81 yards to be exact)  went to  Dom Dampier, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to North Canyon's defense and their four sacks.  Markel Arnold was especially locked on to Washington's QB and sacked him twice. Arnold is becoming a predictor of North Canyon's success: when he posts  at  least two  sacks the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't). The Rattlers got some further help from  Kevin Silva Lopez: he picked up  a  sack and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Carl Hayden Community). They blew past Alhambra 56-8  on Friday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive  victory against them.
 Carl Hayden Community's win came from a few key players North Canyon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Damiani Mitchell, who rushed for 143 yards and one  score while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 107 yards and a pair of  TDs.  Mekhi Wright was another key player, gaining 177 total yards and two touchdowns.
 North Canyon's record now sits at 3-4. As for Carl Hayden Community, their record is now 2-5.
 Everything came up roses for North Canyon against Carl Hayden Community in their previous meeting  back in September of 2019, as the  squad secured  a  34-7 win.
