Soccer Recap: Dominguez's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Dominguez and Central squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Dominguez had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Central Spartans by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Dons haven't been shut out since back in January.

Dominguez moved to 16-3 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight contests. As for Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-2 record this season.

Dominguez does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central, they are taking a road trip to take on Laguna Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Laguna Beach is on a three-game streak of home wins, Central a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
