Preview: Wake Forest vs. Middle Creek
Wake Forest will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Middle Creek at 6:30 PM. If the game is anything like the 51-41 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Wake Forest found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 13-42 punch to the gut against Richmond last Thursday. Wake Forest were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-35.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Middle Creek beat Heritage 48-42 last week.
Middle Creek's win lifted them to 2-0 while Wake Forest's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Middle Creek can add another positive mark to their record or if Wake Forest can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Middle Creek's step.
