Veterans proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Lowndes Vikings 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Warhawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Veterans was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (62-60), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 26-24, 15-13.
Veterans can attribute much of their success to Piper Seaman, who had 11 digs and three aces.
