Basketball Game Preview: Woodlawn Warriors vs. Dundalk Owls

After both having extra time off, the Woodlawn Warriors and the Dundalk Owls will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodlawn is looking for their season's first win.

Woodlawn came up short against Perry Hall two weeks ago, falling 54-28.

Meanwhile, Dundalk played a tough match two weeks ago in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 55-17 loss at the hands of Pikesville. The loss continues a trend for the Owls in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Woodlawn will have to contain Caitlyn Howard as she made an impact in Dundalk's last game. She almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jamie Maney, who posted four points and four steals.

Dundalk's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Woodlawn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything went Woodlawn's way against Dundalk when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Woodlawn made off with a 57-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodlawn since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
