Lewis Posts Huge Game in 28-21 Victory
Starting off the list is Ontario Christian's Zander Lewis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Lewis rushed for 274 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 48 receiving yards. He has become a key player for Ontario Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.
On the season, Lewis has averaged 34.4 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 89.43 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 177 rushing yards.

Capistrano Valley Christian had no answer to Mathis as he rushed for 35 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
This season, Mathis has thrown 15 touchdowns while averaging 184.9 passing yards per game.

Joshua Monroe Delivers Electric Performance Vs Village Christian
While Joshua Monroe delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Capistrano Valley Christian. Despite the loss, Monroe was still balling out as he rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
Capistrano Valley Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. Monroe and Capistrano Valley Christian will venture away from home to face off against Ontario Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Champ Brown Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Champ Brown put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (102) per game. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 53 yards.
The victory (which was Aquinas's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Brown and Aquinas will host Heritage Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Dwight "Dj" Deranja posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made eight total tackles (1.0 for loss).
