Baseball Recap: Waseca Takes a Loss

Maple River hit Waseca with a four-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bluejays came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejays of the 9-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Waseca's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Maple River, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Coming up, Waseca will head out on the road to take on Triton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maple River, they will take on Sibley East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
