The third road matchup was the charm for Mount Calm, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They put the hurt on the Coolidge Yellowjackets with a sharp 12-1 win on Friday. Considering Mount Calm has won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mason Carmean was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Carmean was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Micah Carmean was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Jacob Maples was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Mount Calm always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Mount Calm's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4. As for Coolidge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
