Basketball Game Preview: Ursuline Academy Bears vs. Bishop Lynch Friars

Ursuline Academy is 2-8 against Bishop Lynch since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ursuline Academy Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the Bishop Lynch Friars at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ursuline Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Prestonwood Christian on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Ursuline Academy was outmatched by Prestonwood Christian and fell 73-46. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 476th, while the Lions are ranked 65th).

Meanwhile, Bishop Lynch suffered their biggest loss since January 3rd on Friday. They lost 49-28 to John Paul II. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Friars' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Bishop Lynch now has a losing record at 14-15. As for Ursuline Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-17.

Ursuline Academy couldn't quite finish off Bishop Lynch in their previous matchup back in January and fell 60-57. Can Ursuline Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
