Richmond's loss ends ten-game winning streak at home

Recap: Richmond Bobcats vs. Boothbay Seahawks

After a string of 12 wins, the Richmond Bobcats's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Boothbay 62-56. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Richmond came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Boothbay is ranked 115th).

It was another big night for Finn Harkins, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds for Boothbay. Another player making a difference was Luke Morley, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds.

Richmond's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-1. As for Boothbay, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richmond will take on Islesboro Central at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Boothbay, they will be playing at home against Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Madison is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
