Soccer Recap: Massac County Comes Up Short

Massac County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Carterville Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Carterville this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 on April 8th.

Massac County's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Carterville, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

When Massac County and Carterville next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Patriots will challenge Murphysboro and their 12-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Carterville will try to stop Carbondale's five-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
