Volleyball Preview: Estero Wildcats vs. St. Brendan Sabres

After both having extra time off, the Estero Wildcats and the St. Brendan Sabres will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Estero heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Barron Collier. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since September 3rd.

While Estero was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10, 25-22.

Meanwhile, St. Brendan beat Reagan 3-1 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sabres.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20, 26-28, 25-15.

St. Brendan relied on the efforts of Nelly Baltodano, who had 20 digs, and Priscilla Sanchez, who had nine digs and four aces. That's the most aces Sanchez has posted in her last four matches.

Estero's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for St. Brendan, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
