Pawnee unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 84-23 loss at the hands of the Victoria Cobra HomeSchool Cobra. Pawnee was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-4.
Victoria Cobra HomeSchool had a senior duo take command as Hyrum Ripa dropped a double-double on 38 points and 16 boards and Jacob Johnson went 12 of 20 on his way to 28 points along with 15 rebounds and 12 assists. The dominant performance gave Ripa a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Garza, who posted eight points.
With the victory, Victoria Cobra HomeSchool broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.
