Volleyball Recap: Forge Christian Comes Up Short

Forge Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Stargate School Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fury of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

While Forge Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-23.

Parker Barthel paced Forge Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Barthel got some help from Dennis Blinov and his 11 assists. Blinov was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Stargate School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonas Cecil, who had 14 digs. Those 14 digs gave Cecil a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adrian Barda, who had five digs and one block.

Forge Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Stargate School, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Forge Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Overland on the 29th. As for Stargate School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Fort Lupton on the 28th.
