Recap: Covenant Academy Patriots vs. The Covenant Preparatory School Knights
This season hasn't been kind to the Covenant Academy Patriots, who are still winless after their fourth match. The New Year welcomed they with a 82-52 whooping from The Covenant Preparatory School on Friday. Covenant Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-20.
The Covenant Preparatory School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jay Reyes out in front who scored 20 points along with six assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Kennedy, who scored 11 points along with seven steals.
Covenant Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for The Covenant Preparatory School, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Academy will take on Founders Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Covenant Preparatory School, they will be playing at home against Lifestyle Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
