Softball Recap: Hughson Takes a Loss

Hughson was the 3-1 winner over Hilmar when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hughson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Moring, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Hughson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7-1. As for Hilmar, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Hughson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-9 victory against Gregori on the 16th. As for Hilmar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-2 loss against Ripon on the 17th.
