Volleyball Preview: Huntington North Vikings vs. Kokomo Wildkats        
        
		
            The Huntington North Vikings will challenge the Kokomo Wildkats at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Kokomo took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Huntington North, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with four  losses in a row, Huntington North  turned things around against East Noble  on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  win over the Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Vikings have posted  since April 14th.
 Huntington North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 27-29, 16-25, 25-16, 25-11,  16-14.
  Carter Smith and  Peyton Blair were among the main playmakers for Huntington North as the former  had 17  digs and one  assist and the latter  had 15  kills, 12  digs, two  aces,  and one  block. That's the most  aces  Blair has posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Kokomo was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight  defeat. They lost  3-0 to University.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-9,  25-21.
 Kokomo's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Huntington North, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
 Huntington North beat Kokomo 2-0  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. Do  the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildkats turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
