St. Thomas More beats Martinsville for their ninth straight win

Recap: St. Thomas More Sabers vs. Martinsville Bluestreaks
The St. Thomas More Sabers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their undefeated season alive. They secured a 20-14 W over Martinsville. That's another feather in the cap for St. Thomas More, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Martinsville still got an impressive performance from Victor Herrera, who rushed for 148 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 32 yards and a touchdown.
St. Thomas More's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 7-2 Flanagan/Woodland and 6-3 South Beloit (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63.9% over those games). As for Martinsville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
St. Thomas More will be playing in front of their home fans against Bushnell-Prairie City at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bushnell-Prairie City is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Martinsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
