Basketball Game Preview: Archbishop Curley Friars vs. Severn School Admirals

Archbishop Curley is 2-8 against Severn School since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Archbishop Curley Friars will venture away from home to face off against the Severn School Admirals at 5:30 p.m.

Archbishop Curley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 59 points on Monday, they were much more limited against Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Friday. They were dealt a 56-21 defeat at the hands of the Cougars. The Friars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Severn School). They breezed by Christ Chapel Academy to the tune of 91-43 on Saturday. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Admirals had established a 36 point advantage.

Archbishop Curley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Severn School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Things could have been worse for Archbishop Curley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-50 loss to Severn School in their previous meeting back in February. Can Archbishop Curley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
