Basketball Game Preview: Lennox Orioles vs. West Central Trojans

The Lennox Orioles will welcome the West Central Trojans at 1:45 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lennox is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Mobridge-Pollock by a score of 58-51. Given the Orioles' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Tigers are ranked 37th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Central). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 91-47 victory over Hanson. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.

West Central is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points over those games. Lennox's win bumped their record up to 19-4.
