Baseball Game Preview: Science Leadership Academy vs. Philadelphia Academy Charter Chargers

Science Leadership Academy will face off against the Philadelphia Academy Charter Chargers at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Science Leadership Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Philadelphia Academy Charter will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Science Leadership Academy earned a 7-2 win over Carver High School of Engineering & Science.

Nick Attanasio was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Winslow Coleman, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia Academy Charter unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Franklin Towne by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Philadelphia Academy Charter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Comitalo, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Science Leadership Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Philadelphia Academy Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Science Leadership Academy's way against Philadelphia Academy Charter when the teams last played back in May of 2021, as Science Leadership Academy made off with an 11-1 win.
