Baseball Recap: Lansdale Catholic Comes Up Short

Lansdale Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-3 to the Methacton Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Crusaders have suffered since April 14, 2024.

Jack Whichner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Taylor Mcketa was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Lansdale Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Methacton, the victory (which was their eighth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Lansdale Catholic will head out to square off against Archbishop Carroll at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Methacton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring-Ford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Methacton is facing Spring-Ford at the right time seeing as Spring-Ford is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
